Hunter MP Rotator Nozzle Adjustment Tool

This tool is used to adjust your Hunter MP rotator nozzles. The tool makes it easier to adjust the spray angle of each nozzle so they spray perfectly for each application.

ARC ADJUSTMENT

  1. Install the MP Rotator with the Left Edge Indicator pointing to the left side of the desired watering pattern.
  2. With the MP Rotator operating and in the pop-up position, rotate the Arc Adjustment Ring. Turning the Arc Adjustment Ring clockwise will increase the arc, counter clockwise will decrease the arc.

RADIUS ADJUSTMENT

Factory setting is for full radius, and the radius can be reduced by 25%. With the MP Rotator tool or a small flat bladed screwdriver, rotate the Radius Adjustment Screw:

  • Clockwise (4 full turns) to decrease the radius
  • Counter-clockwise (4 full turns) to increase the radius

Note: Radius reduction is intentionally limited by a slip clutch mechanism to ensure reliable rotation. To prevent damage during adjustment, the MP Rotator does not completely shut off like a spray nozzle. To achieve maximum radius reduction with any MP Rotator model use a 30 PSI (2 BAR) regulating spray body.

HOW TO USE

  1. Locate the MP Rotator nozzle: Identify the Hunter MP Rotator nozzle you wish to adjust.

  2. Insert the adjustment tool into the radius adjustment slot: Look for the radius adjustment slot on the top of the MP Rotator nozzle. Align the prongs of the adjustment tool with the slot and insert it firmly.

  3. Rotate the adjustment tool clockwise or counterclockwise: Once the tool is inserted, rotate it either clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the radius of the nozzle. Turning it clockwise will decrease the radius, while turning it counterclockwise will increase the radius. Make gradual adjustments until you reach the desired radius.

  4. Remove the adjustment tool from the radius adjustment slot: After making the necessary radius adjustment, gently pull the adjustment tool out of the slot. Ensure that you don't accidentally rotate the nozzle during removal.

  5. Insert the adjustment tool into the arc adjustment slot: Locate the arc adjustment slot on the top of the MP Rotator nozzle. Align the prongs of the adjustment tool with the slot and insert it firmly.

  6. Rotate the adjustment tool clockwise or counterclockwise: Once the tool is inserted, rotate it either clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the arc of the nozzle. Turning it clockwise will decrease the arc, while turning it counterclockwise will increase the arc. Make gradual adjustments until you reach the desired arc.

  7. Remove the adjustment tool from the arc adjustment slot: After making the necessary arc adjustment, gently pull the adjustment tool out of the slot. Again, ensure that you don't accidentally rotate the nozzle during removal.

  8. Test the adjusted MP Rotator nozzle: Turn on your irrigation system and observe the water distribution pattern of the adjusted MP Rotator nozzle. Make any additional adjustments if needed.
