Bermad IR-420 Series Metal Hydraulically Operated Pressure Reducing Valve

 DOWNLOAD PRODUCT BROCHURE

The Bermad IR-420 is a hydraulically operated, diaphragm-actuated pressure reducing valve designed to accurately regulate downstream pressure in irrigation and water distribution systems. By responding to fluctuating upstream pressure and varying flow demands, it ensures a stable, constant downstream pressure, protecting pipes, fittings, and emitters from pressure damage.

The valve is compatible with two-way or three-way pilot controls, allowing versatile setup across a wide range of irrigation applications—from mainline regulation at pump stations to field zone pressure control for drippers, sprinklers, or pivots. Its robust construction, hydro-efficient design, and user-friendly maintenance features make it an ideal choice for demanding agricultural environments.

APPLICATIONS

  • Mainline pressure reduction from pump stations
  • Zonal pressure regulation for drip irrigation, sprinklers, and pivot systems
  • Field valve pressure control to prevent emitter damage
  • Water efficiency and system protection in agriculture and horticulture

FEATURES

  • Hydraulically controlled pressure reduction
  • Line pressure driven – no external power required
  • Advanced globe-pattern valve body with smooth, unobstructed flow path
  • Single moving part for long-term reliability
  • High flow capacity with excellent low-flow performance
  • Balanced and fully supported diaphragm – minimizes wear and actuation force
  • Progressive closing action – reduces risk of water hammer
  • User-friendly pressure setting and simple in-line servicing
  • Modular design – supports easy addition of pilot controls and accessories

INSTALLATION

  1. Install horizontally and upright for optimal performance
  2. Flush pipeline before installation to remove debris
  3. Use isolation valves upstream and downstream for maintenance access
  4. Follow the directional flow arrow on valve body
  5. Inspect all fittings and connections post-installation
