Bermad IR-120-55-2W Plastic Hydraulically Operated Pressure Reducing Valve with 2-Way S.390 Coil

DOWNLOAD PRODUCT BROCHURE

The BERMAD IR-120-55-2W is a plastic, hydraulically operated pressure reducing valve fitted with a 2-way S.390 solenoid. This valve is designed to automatically maintain a stable and constant downstream pressure, regardless of upstream fluctuations or flow changes, making it ideal for precise irrigation control in drip and sprinkler systems.

Powered by an electric signal—AC, DC, or DC latch—the valve switches on via the solenoid and continuously regulates downstream pressure. It is ideal for vertical or horizontal installation in computerised irrigation headworks, distribution centres, or energy-efficient irrigation systems where low-pressure accuracy and reliable performance are essential.

APPLICATION

  • Drip and sprinkler irrigation control
  • Low supplied pressure irrigation systems
  • Computerised irrigation networks
  • Energy-saving irrigation setups
  • Fertigation and filter stations
  • Vertical or horizontal installations

FEATURES

  • Pressure Reducing with Solenoid On/Off Control
    • Maintains constant downstream pressure
    • Powered via 2-way S.390 solenoid (AC/DC/DC latch)
  • Reliable, Smooth Operation
    • No chattering or slamming
    • Accurate and stable regulation
    • Low-pressure actuation
    • No diaphragm erosion or distortion
  • Built to Last in Harsh Conditions
    • Resistant to UV damage, freezing, and chemicals
    • Durable diaphragm and spring to match full operating range
    • Designed for high/low flow and pressure variability
  • User-Friendly Design
    • Articulated flanges absorb pipeline stress
    • Few internal parts for easy in-line servicing
    • Compatible with a wide range of end connection sizes

INSTALLATION

  1. Ensure adequate space for servicing
  2. Flush the pipeline before installation
  3. Install isolation valves upstream and downstream
  4. Mount valve in flow direction (horizontal and upright recommended)
  5. Use manual override or energize solenoid to open valve
  6. Bleed air via the highest tube fitting
  7. Adjust set pressure via pilot screw if required
  8. Test solenoid operation to confirm open/close control

COMMISIONING & CALIBRATION

  1. Confirm that the In-line filter arrow [4A] direction is in the valve flow direction. 2
  2. Allow the valve to open by using the solenoid manual override or by: Operating the solenoid.
  3. Open fully the upstream isolating valve and slowly open the downstream isolating valve, to fill-up, carefully, the consumers' line downstream from the Valve.
  4. Vent air from the valve's control loop by loosening cover tube fitting at the highest point, allowing all air to bleed. Then Retighten the tube fitting.
  5. The IR-120-55-X is factory set according to the design. The set pressure is marked on the pilot label, If the set pressure is either different from the design or the requirements have been changed, change settings according to the following:
  6. 5.1. Unlock the pilot locking nut and slowly turn the pilot adjusting screw Clock-Wise to increase set pressure and Counter Clock-Wise to decrease it. Allow the 120-55-X- to react and the downstream pressure to stabilize.
  7. 5.2. After the pressure is stabilized lock the pilot nut.
  8. 6. Check valve solenoid control feature by De-Energizing & Energizing the solenoid to close & open the valve.
