Yamit Hydrocyclone Sand Separating Filter - 5000 Series
Efficient Pre-Filtration for Sand-Laden Water in Agricultural, Industrial, and Municipal Applications
The Netafim Series 5000 Hydrocyclone Sand Separator, also known as the Yamit Hydrocyclone, is engineered to remove sand and heavy particulate matter from water with 90%+ separation efficiency—making it the ideal first-stage filtration solution for systems facing high sand loads.
Featuring no moving parts, the 5000 Series delivers robust, maintenance-friendly performance that protects your pumps, valves, drip lines, and secondary filters from premature wear and clogging. Water enters tangentially, creating a centrifugal vortex that drives sand and debris to the outer walls and down into the collection tank, while clean water rises through the central outlet.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- High-Efficiency Separation: Removes up to 90% or more of sand and solids without impacting pressure or flow.
- No Moving Parts: Simple, reliable design means less maintenance, fewer breakdowns, and longer service life.
- Collection Tank with Auto/Manual Drain: Integrated sediment collection chamber with flush valve for periodic cleanout—can be operated manually or by timer.
- Durable, Corrosion-Resistant Coating: Features a 100-micron polyester coating, oven-cured on a zinc-phosphate primer, for maximum resistance in corrosive environments.
- Flexible Configurations: Available with threaded, flanged, or Victaulic end connections in sizes from ¾" to 8" to suit a wide range of flow rates and installations.
- Uninterrupted Operation: Sediment removal does not disrupt flow or filtration during system operation.
