The Jobe Rojo 20mm Part Fill Float Valve is a low-flow valve designed specifically for rainwater harvesting tanks. Its purpose is to automatically maintain a minimal water level during periods of low or no rainfall, ensuring continued service while preserving maximum tank capacity for future rain events. Compact, durable, and constructed from non-corrosive materials, the Rojo Part Fill offers reliable performance without interfering with rainwater collection.
It is easily installed through the side wall of the tank above the overflow level to prevent backflow, and includes a built-in non-return valve for added protection. Featuring a weighted float and simple cord operation, the valve activates only when necessary, making it highly efficient. A manual lock-off switch is also included for added control during servicing or system adjustments.
OUTLINE OF OPERATIONS
- The valve is installed through the side wall of a storage tank. It should be mounted above the over flow level of the tank to prevent back flow.
- As the tank empties the weighted float travels down the cord and sits on the bottom stop to activate the valve.
- The valve will run until the weighted float lifts clear of the bottom stop.
- The float will then rise as rainwater fills the tank and fall as the tank water is used.
- The valve will only function at times when rain fall is insufficient to maintain a water level in the tank above the bottom stop.
- The use of a flow restrictor before the valve will not cause the valve to malfunction.
