A compression tee with male off-take fitting is used to tee off a length of metric HDPE pipe with a female threaded pipe offtake. This is often used to fit a female-threaded valve or tap via compression fitting, to a HDPE pipeline. Compression tees with a male off-take are often used for irrigation and hydroponics, as they can fit a valve/tap right next to the main pipeline, to adjust flow to the off-take pipeline. With a size range from 20 mm to 63 mm, compression tee with male off-take fittings match common pipe sizes and are usually SDR 11. Compression tee with male offtakes are suitable for water and other similar fluids, with pressures up to 16 bar, however this varies with the ambient temperature and temperature of the pipe contents. Tee with male off-take compression fittings are made from PE100 material with precisely moulded parts, and a rubber sealing ring for larger sizes.
