The K-Rain 4000 Series Hydro Indexing Valve offers a cost-effective, reliable method of automating multiple irrigation zones without the need for electrical wiring at the valve. Ideal for residential, rural and light commercial applications, this patented mechanical valve sequences irrigation zones using a simple hydraulic (water) signal, advancing to the next outlet each time the water supply is cycled.
Constructed from high-strength, non-corrosive ABS polymer, the 4000 Series indexing valve delivers long service life and dependable performance even in outdoor environments. It operates at low flow rates (from ~38 L/min) over a wide pressure range, making it suitable for both city water and pump systems, and is versatile enough for use with wastewater and effluent water where compliant colour-coding is required.
The simplicity of its design — with few moving parts — means easy maintenance and minimal service requirements over time. Replacement or adjustment of the internal cam allows the valve to be reconfigured to suit changes in zone count, giving installers flexibility on the job.
HOW IT WORKS
The 4000 Series indexing valve doesn’t need electricity at the valve location — instead it uses the on/off cycling of water pressure to automatically advance through each outlet. Each time irrigation starts and stops, an internal cam indexed mechanism moves to the next outlet, energising that zone next. This makes it ideal for installations where control wiring is impractical.
FEATURES
- Reliable automatic zone sequencing — cycles irrigation outlets in order with each water cycle
