Amiad 100mm (4") Super Steel In-Line Filter with Scanaway Kit - Flanged

The Amiad 100mm (4") Super Steel In-Line Filter is a heavy-duty, semi-automatic water filtration solution designed to remove suspended dirt and debris while allowing the stainless steel screen to be cleaned without dismantling the filter. Water flows from the inside of the screen outward, trapping contaminants against the internal screen surface before filtered water continues through the system.

The included Scanaway cleaning kit uses a manually operated suction scanner that moves across the screen in a spiral motion. When the flushing valve is opened and the handle is rotated, the scanner removes accumulated material from the screen and expels it through the exhaust valve. Cleaning is completed while the filter remains installed and pressurised, reducing downtime and avoiding the need to remove the screen during routine flushing.

How the Scanaway System Works

Unfiltered water enters the filter and passes through the stainless steel screen from the inside outward. Suspended material is captured on the internal surface of the screen.

As debris accumulates, the pressure differential across the filter increases. The manual recommends cleaning when the pressure differential reaches approximately 0.5 bar. To clean the screen, the flushing valve is gradually opened and the operating handle is rotated clockwise several times. This moves the suction scanner across the screen in a spiral pattern, removing accumulated debris and discharging it through the flushing outlet.
