Hunter RPT Battery-operated Wireless Solar Repeater for WVL Range Extension
Hunter RPT Battery-operated Wireless Solar Repeater for WVL Range Extension
| DOWNLOAD PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS |
The Hunter RPT Wireless Solar Repeater is designed to extend the communication range of the Hunter Wireless Valve Link (WVL) system, allowing reliable wireless valve control in large, complex, or obstructed sites. Powered entirely by solar energy, the RPT relays LoRa® wireless signals between the Wireless Valve Output Module (WVOM) and remote field devices to overcome distance, terrain, and line-of-sight limitations—without trenching or cabling.
Engineered for outdoor installation, the RPT features an integrated solar panel, rechargeable LiFePO (lithium iron phosphate) battery, and a rugged, weather-resistant enclosure. With no external wiring or power supply required, installation is fast and flexible, making it ideal for expanding irrigation control across parks, sports fields, road reserves, campuses, and large commercial landscapes.
When deployed correctly, the RPT can extend wireless valve communication up to 4,000 ft (1,219 m) line-of-sight, significantly increasing system coverage. The repeater communicates directly between the controller-mounted WVOM and WVL field devices, automatically relaying signals only where required. Devices within direct range of the controller will bypass the repeater, ensuring optimal network efficiency.
Important: The WVL system supports a maximum of one repeater per controller.
