Titaseal High Density Pink Thread Seal Tape 10m Roll

Suitable for sealing water pipe threads.

1. Clean the threads to remove any dirt, grease or pipe dope
2. Dry the threads with a paper towel. Get in between the threads to remove all water from the threaded end. Alternatively, allow the pipe to air-dry thoroughly.
3. Wrap the tape around the threads, applying it in the same direction as the threads. This is important because you don't want to be loosening or bulging the tape when screwing in the connecting piece. Start at the second thread and work towards the pipe. Use a finger to hold it against the second thread as you wrap it around the pipe. Overlap by approximately half of the width of tape, but be sure not to put on too much. Use enough pull that you are still able to clearly see the shape of the threads and there are no loose sections. Continue a little beyond the last thread.
4. Cut the tape and press the tape end against the threads.
