The Matelec FPC-12722 Standard Plus Rain/Mains Valve & Pump Controller is a versatile, ready-to-install control solution designed to maximise the use of harvested rainwater while ensuring a seamless switch to mains water when required. With two special purpose pump outlets, this model provides the flexibility to power an automatic pump alongside the rain/mains changeover valve, enabling a fully automated system for both residential and commercial applications.

Housed in a durable IP54-rated polycarbonate enclosure with mounting brackets, the FPC-12722 offers quick plug connections for easy installation—no hard wiring required. Its intuitive rain/mains keypad interface features clear indicator lights for mains and tank water use, along with a system test button for quickly checking pump and valve operation.

When rainwater is available, the controller pulses the solenoid valve closed, allowing the pump to supply water (controlled by a connected pressure switch if fitted). In the event of tank depletion, pump fault, or power failure, the controller pulses the valve open to switch to mains water. The additional pressure switch input allows the system to detect drops in water pressure and automatically close the valve to preserve rainwater or trigger mains supply.
