Signal SD-DN-MO Two-Wire Moisture Sensor & DataNode for SDS Two-Wire Irrigation Controllers

The Signal SD-DN-MO is a rugged, high-precision soil moisture sensor paired with a pre-attached DataNode, designed for direct integration into the two-wire network of SDS Series Irrigation Controllers. Using 70MHz frequency capacitance technology, it provides accurate and stable readings of volumetric water content (VWC) in all soil types — unaffected by salinity or soil texture.

Once installed, the sensor continuously reports live moisture percentages back to the SDS controller via the two-wire cable. Controllers can be programmed to automatically skip or delay irrigation schedules if the moisture reading exceeds a user-defined setpoint — a critical feature for water-efficient systems and rainfall responsiveness.

The SD-DN-MO connects directly to the two-wire path, is powered via the controller, and is fully supported by SignalCloud web software and the SDS-LINK mobile app, which provide a 7-day moisture trend graph for ongoing monitoring.
