The Irritrol (Richdel) 216-B Series 40mm Solenoid Valve is a heavy-duty commercial-grade valve designed to deliver reliable, long-term irrigation performance under demanding site conditions. Built from corrosion- and UV-resistant PVC with stainless-steel hardware, the 216B Series is engineered to withstand high pressures, dirty water, and continuous cycling—making it an ideal choice for sports fields, public open spaces, commercial landscapes, and large turf installations.
This robust valve includes a double-beaded Santoprene diaphragm, providing exceptional sealing strength and long life, while its slow-closing design helps reduce water hammer and stress on downstream pipework. The high-strength ribbed bonnet design improves durability, and the three-way stainless-steel bonnet screws accept Phillips, flat-blade, or hex drivers, allowing fast servicing in the field without removing the valve from the system. Internal and external bleed options support easy manual activation and flushing during commissioning or maintenance.
Designed for flexibility, the 216B Series accepts the OMNIReg® modular pressure regulator, allowing installers to regulate downstream pressure directly at the valve. It is also compatible with 9–12V DC latching solenoids, enabling use in battery-powered or smart controller environments.
