DOWNLOAD PRODUCT BROCHURE |
The BERMAD IR-120-54-3W-X is a hydraulically operated, diaphragm-actuated pressure reducing valve designed to precisely control downstream pressure in agricultural irrigation systems. This normally closed valve includes a hydraulic relay pilot that maintains a constant reduced downstream pressure, while fully opening when upstream pressure drops, ensuring responsive and protective control across varied conditions.
With its hYflow “Y” valve body, high-flow capacity, and low pressure loss, the IR-120-54-3W-X is ideal for large and medium-scale irrigation blocks using drip or sprinkler systems—especially where inlet pressure can fluctuate significantly.
APPLICATION
- Drip and sprinkler irrigation control
- Low-pressure supply zones
- Energy-efficient irrigation networks
- Agricultural irrigation headworks
- Computerised irrigation systems
- Distribution centres and filter stations
FEATURES
- Hydraulically Controlled, Line-Pressure Driven
- Maintains constant downstream pressure regardless of demand
- Fully opens during line pressure drop
- Ideal for pressure-sensitive irrigation schemes
- Engineered Plastic, Industrial Grade Design
- Highly resistant to chemicals and cavitation
- Free of internal bolts and nuts for easier maintenance
- hYflow ‘Y’ Valve Body with “Look Through” Design
- Ultra-high flow capacity
- Low head loss for optimal efficiency
- FST (Flexible Super Travel) Diaphragm and Guided Plug
- Stable regulation with smooth opening/closing
- Requires low actuation pressure
- Protects diaphragm from erosion and deformation
- User-Friendly Maintenance
- Simple in-line inspection
- Compatible with a wide range of end connection sizes and types
INSTALLATION
- Ensure adequate space for servicing
- Flush pipeline thoroughly before installation
- Install upstream and downstream isolation valves
- Align valve with flow direction (horizontal upright recommended)
- After installation, check tubing, accessories, and fittings for damage
COMMISIONING & CALIBRATION
- Ensure inline filter is correctly oriented.
- Use the hydraulic cock valve to engage auto mode.
- Open upstream valve fully, then slowly open downstream valve to fill system.
- Bleed air from highest point in control loop and retighten fitting.
- Adjust pilot screw:
- Turn clockwise to increase set pressure
- Turn counter-clockwise to decrease
- Allow pressure to stabilise, then lock the pilot nut and open all valves fully.
