Helix Hydro FF5 Series Right Angle Semi-Automatic Brush Filters for Irrigation Systems

The Helix Hydro FF5 Series provides screen filtration for irrigation and water supply installations, with a right-angle configuration to suit changes in pipework direction. Available in sizes from 50mm to 200mm, the range offers options for smaller irrigation installations through to larger agricultural systems. The FF5-50 uses threaded connections, while the larger models feature flanged connections.

Each filter incorporates an epoxy-coated mild steel body and a reusable 316 stainless steel screen. Available screen grades include 40, 80 and 120 mesh, allowing the filtration level to be selected according to the water source and downstream equipment requirements. The required mesh grade should be specified when ordering, as the FF5 part numbers identify the filter size without identifying the screen grade.

The semi-automatic brush mechanism allows cleaning by turning an external handle, without dismantling the filter. Water flow continues during cleaning, helping minimise interruptions to irrigation schedules. With no external power required for the cleaning mechanism, the FF5 Series provides a practical option for installations where straightforward, operator-controlled maintenance is preferred.
