Kelco D40 Heavy Duty Liquid Level Switch with Top-Entry Single Point Level Regulator

The Kelco D40 is a heavy-duty top-entry liquid level switch designed for single-point level control in demanding environments. Operating on Archimedes’ principle, the D40 uses a non-floating polypropylene displacer suspended from the switch housing. When immersed, the displacer’s apparent weight decreases, triggering a magnetically actuated SPDT switch through the solid billet aluminium housing—ensuring no metal parts are in contact with the liquid.

With a 60mm switching differential, IP67-rated sealed housing, and M20 cable gland, the D40 is suited to confined spaces, sumps, pits, wells, bores, and bund areas. It is ideal for effluent, seawater, chemical, and high-solids applications, providing reliable control for pump start/stop, alarms, or process interlocks.

The unit comes supplied with two mounting brackets for wall, tank lid, or beam mounting, and operates at any voltage from 5–500V AC, directly controlling motors up to 1.5kW (2HP) at 240V AC.
