The Matelec FPC-12721-HD Standard Rain/Mains Valve & Pump Controller is a reliable, easy-to-install solution for maximising the use of rainwater while ensuring uninterrupted supply via mains water when required. Designed for systems with a single automatic pump outlet, it’s ideal for residential and light commercial applications where a straightforward, dependable changeover system is needed.

Housed in a weather-resistant IP54-rated polycarbonate enclosure with mounting brackets, the FPC-12721-HD features an intuitive keypad with indicator lights to display current water source, plus a system test button to quickly verify valve operation.

When rainwater is available, the controller pulses the solenoid valve closed, allowing the pump to supply water (controlled by a pressure switch if fitted). In the event of rainwater depletion, pump fault, or power failure, the controller pulses the valve open to allow mains water to take over. The additional pressure switch input enables detection of a pressure drop, prompting automatic valve closure or mains changeover.
