The Netafim SandStorm 2 Tank Manifold Fully Automatic Gravel Media Filter System with Media – AC Controlled is a double-chamber metal media filtration system designed for primary filtration in irrigation systems using poor-quality surface water. Built from high-quality carbon steel ST-37.2, the SandStorm system provides robust depth filtration, exceptional durability, and reliable automatic back-flushing performance for multi-season irrigation applications.

The double-tank manifold configuration allows continuous filtration, ensuring irrigation flow is maintained even during back-flush cycles. With industry-leading UV and corrosion protection provided by a special two-layer coating, the SandStorm system delivers long-term reliability in harsh outdoor environments. Its modular design enables future system expansion, while large access ports simplify media replacement and routine maintenance. The system is supplied with gravel media, ensuring it is ready for installation and operation. 

Media filters are highly recommended when irrigating with poor quality water or in the following conditions:

• As the primary filtration for surface water in single/multi-season driplines
• When water contains Iron and/or Manganese
• For SDI applications wish harsh water sources

SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

• Flow rates are for average water quality when using crushed basalt #1 or crushed granite #11
• For poor water quality use lower flow rates.
• Minimum media size: 0.6mm
• Minimum backwash pressure: 20m
• Systems include Media (Note 1/2 fill water tank with water before adding media to reduce risk of damaging mushrooms)
• The filtration systems are supplied in kit form as follows: 
  
  • Systems with Manifolds 50mm, 80mm, 100mm & 150mm are supplied with Arkal Straight Disc Filter
  • Hydraulic tube, Backflush Valves, Poly Propylene (PP) Manifold, Controller and Solenoids, Air Valve, Pressure gauge mounted on 3-way Sagiv Valve are all pre-assembled
  • W Configurations are supplied with Stainless Steel Manifolds. Galvanised and Polypropylene Manifolds are available upon request
